Awesome News! Capital Craft is coming to Pretoria on Saturday the 6th of July 2013. It will be held at the Voortrekker Monument and should be one of the social highlights of the year on the Capital City’s calendar.
To my knowledge it’s the first time that a Craft beer festival will be held in Pretoria. Capital Craft has the potential to become the premium beer festival in Snor City. Capital Craft will bring together old traditions and new experiences. I’m curious to see how the Pretoria crowd embraces this, but I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be a jol of note.
Punters will be able to sample beers by over 10 different microbrewers at Capital Craft. Some of them are all the way from Darling (in the Western Cape) and the Valley of a 1000 hills (in Kwazulu Natal). If you’re a beer lover, you should not miss out on this one – it promises to be a well-executed and unforgettable experience.
Capital Craft will combine the age-old tradition of drinking beer with new and exciting musical acts. Micro-breweries have fast become the tasty and trendy alternative to commercially brewed beers. There is no doubt in my mind that the painstaking efforts taken to brew and mature these specialist beers can be tasted with each and every sip. I can’t wait to have my first sip of Darling Brew at the event.
If you want to be part of this awesome experience, buy your tickets today because they are selling fast. Visit the Webtickets website to buy your tickets NOW! Tickets for Capital Craft are priced between R80 and R100 – Early bird tickets have almost sold out. For more info and updates about the event, check out the Capital Craft Facebook page, follow @capitalcraftpta on Twitter or check out the festival’s official website.
Spread the word about Capital Craft to your friends on Facebook and Twitter. Sharing is caring after all. I’m also pretty sure that your beer loving friends will give you a huge high five if you let them know about it.

It seems that things are going to warm up this winter in Gauteng. Today Converse Africa announced Get Dirty. The event is inspired by the Converse seasonal brand expression “Shoes Keep it Clean, Sneakers Get Dirty”. This new music event celebrates the uncompromising mindset of throwing yourself in headfirst and resurfacing with the marks and scuffs that prove it.
Converse Get Dirty will be held at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, Johannesburg on the 8th of June 2013. The line-up will include Shadowclub, 2013 SAMA winning Zebra and Giraffe, Reason, BLK JKS, Matthew Mole, Vigilante, Vetkuk vs Mahoota and others. Fans have the chance to witness an unrivalled live music experience for only R50.
This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Maybe I should check this out. For more information on the Get Dirty artist schedule, locations and ticket access please visit www.converse-sa.co.za or follow @Converse_Africa on Twitter. Spread the word about Get Dirty. Prepare to have a geekasm of note. Joss Whedon (the same director who brought the Avengers last year and TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) is back with a new series called Agents of SHIELD.
The series is based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. It will be produced by Marvel Television and will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will also share continuity with the films in that franchise. The series will revolve around the character of Phil Coulson and Clark Gregg will be reprising the role. It’s basically about Agent Phil Coulson putting together a small team of SHIELD agents to handle strange new cases. Agents of SHIELD will also feature appearances by Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.
It’s about time that someone fills the gap in the TV Schedule that Heroes left when it was cancelled. I’m keen to see what happens in this series. I’m thinking that it might just be one of coolest series to be aired in 2013. Agents of SHIELD will be premiering the USA in September 2013 on the ABC Television Network (which is owned by Disney). Check out the series preview below – prepare to be blown away.
