In 2005 my dad and I attended the Currie Cup final match between the Blue Bulls and the Free State Cheetahs. The game was sold out (like almost every Currie Cup final game). We were expecting the Blue Bulls to win the match. We were treated to a shock defeat though. The Cheetahs won the match on the day by 29 points to 25. They won their first Currie Cup trophy since 1976. Since then the quality of Free State rugby has improved. I snapped this photo of the crowd and the players on the day.
