Quotes – Part 6 – Frustration

I felt a little frustrated during the early parts of this week, so I thought I’d cover the topic of frustration on my quotes section. I know it’s kinda negative, but I feel that it’s out there for all of us at one point or another and I also feel that issues should be addressed and not be ignored. It’s all about how we as humans cope with frustration and whether we let it get to us or not. To cope with it, the trick is to stay positive, no matter what. That is something that I’m still learning though. I hope this is insightful and inspirational to those who read it.

“Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment” Dale Carnegie (Author & Lecturer).

“All that is necessary to break the spell of inertia and frustration is this: Act as if it were impossible to fail. That is the talisman, the formula, the command of right about face which turns us from failure to success.” Dorothea Brande (Writer & Editor)

“A belief in hell and the knowledge that every ambition is doomed to frustration at the hands of a skeleton have never prevented the majority of human beings from behaving as though death were no more than an unfounded rumor.” Aldous Huxley (Novelist & Critic)

“I’ve had a growing frustration, particularly when I would go out and do book tours and interviews. I got frustrated with people asking me, “How do you know what the future is going to be like?” And I’d always say, “I don’t.”" William Gibson (Science-Fiction Writer)

“I’ve come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy.” Anthony Robbins (Motivational Speaker)

“My recipe for dealing with anger and frustration: set the kitchen timer for twenty minutes, cry, rant, and rave, and at the sound of the bell, simmer down and go about business as usual” Phyllis Diller (Comedian & Actress)

“The object of this competition is not to be mean to the losers but to find a winner. The process makes you mean because you get frustrated. Kids turn up unrehearsed, wearing the wrong clothes, singing out of tune and you can either say, “Good job” and patronize them or tell them the truth, and sometimes the truth is perceived as mean.” Simon Cowell (TV Producer / Idols Judge).

“Nothing is as frustrating as arguing with someone who knows what he’s talking about.” Sam Ewing (Writer & Humorist)

“Frustration is our announcement to ourselves that we need to move back into love in order to find our “center” once again.” Donald Walsh (Author)
