Stealing Love Jones

This band hails from Durban, South Africa and are one the best bands out of the country with a lot potential to make it big, in my opinion. It’s been an eventful year for the band. They’ve changed their name (originally known as Love Jones). Since January 2008 they’ve had a successful tour of the USA and also toured South Africa with K’s Choice lead singer Sarah Bettens. They’ve also recorded their 2nd album with international producer Bjorn Thorsrud who is known for his work with Smashing Pumpkins and his collaboration with Shania Twain, Whitesnake, Toad the Wet Sprocket and others over the last 25 years. The are also the supporting act for Maroon 5 and One Republic on the Durban leg of their SA tour (on 14 December 2008).

I’ve seen the band live a few times, once or twice at Oppikoppi and once in Hatfield Square in Pretoria. I find their live act enjoyable and vibrant, and I must compliment the band on their ability to get the crowd going. Here are some music videos for the band:
