Kate Beckinsdale was born on July 26, 1973 in Finsbury Park, London in the UK. She’s is an actress by profession. Initially she participated in several writing contests, and even took up French and Russian literature to expand her range of acting opportunities. She eventually dropped out of university in order to focus on acting. She landed roles in movies like Much Ado About Nothing, Laurel Canyon, Shooting Fish and The Last Days of Disco. Her first mainstream success was when she landed the leading role in Pearl Harbor. She was given this part when Charlize Theron turned it down. After the success of this film she has been seen in blockbusters such as Serendipity, Underworld, Van Helsing and The Aviator. She’s a household name in the United States because of the success of these films. She’s definately one of my favorite actresses and one of the sexiest Brits around.
