For most of you reading these World of Warcraft posts logging into the game is most probably part of your daily routine (then again I could be wrong). In my last report on my game progress I mentioned that I will probably reach level 80 soon. Well, I did. Bliksempie, my Tauren Warrior has reached the max level in the game. Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on gearing him up. After a short stay with the Undercity Reservists guild I moved back to the Pap & Vleis guild on Twilight’s Hammer EU (a guild I was part of earlier in the year). Pap & Vleis is a South African guild with more than 400 members (and one of the biggest guilds I’ve ever been part of). I must say that Blizzard has made it quite easy to get epic gear in the game. I’ve only been doing Heroic Dungeons for the last 3 weeks and I already have 5 epic items (still a long way to go though). Since my character is full Fury spec I’ve enabled the Titan’s Grip talent which allows Bliksempie to dual wield two 2 Handed weapons. I’m thinking of doing a Dual Talent Specialization on this character (which will cost me another 1000 gold). Luckily my Jewelcrafting is nearly top level (at 431 at the moment).
Here’s the list of Epic items that Bliksempie is currently equipped with:
- Darkmoon Card: Death (Trinket) – Bought off the Auction House for about 800 gold
- Ring of Ghoulish Glee (Ring) – Drop from Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard
- Hemorrhaging Circle (Ring) – Drop from Gal’darah in Heroic Gundrak
- Gauntlets of Dragon Wrath (Gloves) – Drop for Ley-Guardian Eregos in Heroic Oculus
- Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver (2 handed Axe) – Drop from Loken in Heroic Halls of Lightning
- Titansteel Destroyer (2 handed Mace) – Crafted by a guildie who got the mats from a friend who owed me a ton of gold
If you check out the World of Warcraft Armory page for Bliksempie you’ll realize that I still have tons of Heroic Dungeons to farm for Emblems and Item Upgrades. I’m also doing Battlegrounds inbetween Heroic runs and saving honor points for possible gear upgrades (farmed 14,000 so far). It will be a while before I start to raid Ulduar on this character. This will be a time-consuming process, but damn well worth it in the end for old Bliksempie. Hopefully he’ll be fully Epic by the end of November and ready for some raiding action. I’m going to put off leveling an alt until I’ve reached this goal. World of Warcraft is definately one of the most effort requiring PC games in gaming history.

Hey there,
I love the coverage of WoW. We’ve got a site where we talk about video games, including Warcraft, covering topics like making money in Warcraft. I’d love your opinion on our site if you get a chance to stop by.
Are you planning on going prot as your off-spec? Also, what drake configuration did your group run for Heroic Oculus? I run with a very small group of talented players and that has been one of the most difficult fights for us.
Ironshef: Thank you for your comment. I will check out your website. I’m going to stay Fury on this warrior, might off spec to Arms in order to obtain PVP gear. Heroic Occulus is not too bad (not my favorite heroic though). Can’t remember the configuration, but apparently the the tank is supposed to use the drake with that pulls the most aggro (red one i think).
