Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage) is a sorcerer. He recruits and trains a young protege (Jay Baruchel) to help him fight the forces of darkness. At the same time celebrity illusionist Drake Stone (played by Toby Kebbell) joins forces with an evil sorcerer named Horvath (played by Alfred Molina) to gain ultimate power. Balthazar and his apprentice try to prevent this. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is directed by Jon Turtletaub (who also directed National Treasure, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Cool Runnings). Jerry Bruckheimer (who also produced all 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies) is producing the film.
