Life Design is the 2nd single to be released of the new Stardust Galaxies album (which achieved Gold status in South Africa after just 1 week in stores) by The Parlotones. It definately has potential to become one of the biggest songs of 2010. I first heard this song when I attented their performance at Oppikoppi 2009 Smoorverlief last year. In 2009 the band walked away with a SAMA Award for Best Music Video of the Year. They also received nominations in for the Best Global Chart DVD and MTN Record of the year. The Parlotones spend as least of half of their year playing gigs abroad. Only 3 gigs are listed so far for this year. 1 in Paris, France at La Fleche d’Or on 21 January 2010, 1 in Bucharest, Romania at The Silver Church on 28 January 2010 and 1 in London in the United Kingdom at KOKO on 24 March 2010. I’m sure that more dates will be added as the year progresses. Let’s hope we see them playing plenty of gigs in South Africa this year. I like the way that Life Design literally builds up to a point and explodes its brilliance into one’s ears. I’m sure that this song will become a crowd favorite at their shows (like their older hit songs Colourful and Beautiful).
