South African music channel MK (formerly known as MK89) recently named 62 nominees for the 12 award categories at the 2010 MK Awards. MK started broadcasting in 2005 on DSTV and the channel held its first MK Awards in 2007. Since then this has become one of South Africa’s premier award shows. The MK Awards rewards South African musicians for their contribution to South African music. It will be interesting to see which artists are named as the 2010 MK Award Winners.

The fact that I consider Goldfish to be one of the best live South African acts fuels my predicition they will walk away with this award.
