Bianka Ferreira was born in 1990. She is a South African model and student best known as one of the six “vixens” on the Vuzu reality television series Vixens in 2009. When cast on Vixens she was 18 and living in Louis Trichardt (my old home town in Limpopo province). She has been selected as the next Featured babe on the blog. I recently had the privilege of conducting an interview with her.
How long have you been modelling? I have practically been modeling for about 9 to 10 years. This includes the really young, really awkward phase!
What is your favorite place in South Africa? I would probably have to say the Kruger National Park. It represent everything beautiful and pure. It brings nature, family and adventure together. It is very serene and quiet.
What would be the ultimate thing that could happen in your modelling career? Definitely FHM – like for any model. It is the ultimate exposure to allow many great opportunities to follow!
What was the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you on a modelling shoot? When I was doing a beach shoot 2 years ago, a really big wave came and my bikini top and bottom were not positioned right anymore!
Would you rather be an actress? Well, I have done 2 reality TV shows up until now and actually prefer it to modeling. Don’t get me wrong – I love that too but will definately start focusing on TV soon. I enjoy it so much and have wanted to be an actress forever!
What are your thoughts about modelling in general in South Africa? The modeling industry in SA is definitely starting to move up – not that it has never been big. We have so many beautiful and talented models here that it is impossible not to be.
Do you think modelling is up to standard in South Africa compared to the rest of the world? I do think so, yes. South Africa makes the best of the resources, locations and models they have. I don’t think it can really be compared as the extent the industry goes to there is much bigger than here.
If you could visit any destination outside South Africa where would it be? Would either be Greece or Egypt. They are very contrasting but are both very appealing to me!
Anything on the horizon that your fans can look forward to? Just started my own promotions company, Levita Luna Promotions. I will be needed everyone’s help soon and will really appreciate it!
What does “Levita Luna” mean? “Levita” means pink in Spanish and “Luna” is moon in Italian!
Running Wolf’s Rant would like to thank Bianka Ferreira for conducting this interview. We wish her the best of luck with her endeavours in the future. Watch this space for more regular Featured Babe updates.
