Bittereinder on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert

Yesterday I made my way to Centurion Rugby Club (right next to Supersport Park) in Centurion to attend the Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert. It was a nice way to spend a public holiday. I only made it to the venue at 2 PM so I missed the Friendly Lemons performance but I managed to catch EkHouVanJou,ok!, The December Streets, Die Tuindwergies and Bittereinder performing. Bittereinder came on last and climbed into the psyche of the small Centurion crowd. Their “Tale of 1 City” rendition of their Tale of 3 Cities song was absolutely awesome. I honestly think that there’s a better way to describe elements of the capital city in Afrikaans in a song. The second I heard “Ek skryf hierdie rympie in Oktober terwyl my geboortestad Pers is….” it gave me instant goosebumps and it made me realize how much I love Pretoria. I snapped this photo of Bittereinder on stage yesterday (with Richard Brokensha of Kidofdoom and Isochronous fame) and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 17th of June 2011.

Yesterday a photo featuring the “Crowd at Arcade Empire Last Night” was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Daily Babes section and this section.
