On the Sunday at Oppikoppi Unknown Brother this year I made my way to the Skellum stage (at the same time that Die Tuindwergies were playing at the Bruilof stage) to catch a bit of the Black Hotels set. It was the first that I’ve ever seen them perform, even though they’ve been in the South African Music industry for more than 5 years. They played a solid set and the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves in front of the stage. I snapped this photo of the Black Hotels on stage at Oppikoppi this year and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 25th of August 2011.
