Yes folks, Blink 182 are back. The Pop Punk band which has its roots in Poway, California in the United States released their sixth studio album entitled Neighborhoods in September 2011. It’s the first new blink Blink 182 material in eight years. Blink 182 reformed in 2009 after the band was in hiatus from 2005 to 2008. Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge are Travis Barker are all still in the band. The new album made its debut at number 2 on the Billboard 200 (151,000 copies were sold in its first week of release).
After Midnight is the second single of the Neighbourhoods album. The song made its debut on Radio 1 in the UK in early September 2011. I first heard this song on the Bang Bang Breakfast show (which is hosted by Rob Forbes) on Tuks FM earlier this week. The song has had positive feedback from music critics globally. Some of them catalogued it as one of their best songs off the album. I’m leaning towards that as well. Blink 182 don’t have that many romantic songs. They pull off After Midnight beautifully (in my humble opinion). It’s great to see that they still have some good tunes left in them.
This is the music video for After Midnight:
If you ask me, this is one of the best Blink 182 videos that has ever been released. What do you think of this song and its video?
