Blue Bull Bar in Mozambique
In May 2013 I made my way to my third STRAB festival in Mozambique. We drove through on the Wednesday this year (one day earlier than usual). After partying on the beach, making some new friends, partying on the deck into the early hours of Thursday morning and getting a few hours of shut-eye, we made our way to Ponta Du Ouro to get some supplies on Thursday morning.
On our way to Ponta Du Ouro we passed through a multitude of stalls and roadside pubs. Besides the Genuine Italian Pizza place, the Sharks bar and various arts and crafts stalls, there’s also a Blue Bull Bar. This venue (which is located in Ponta Malongane) is extremely popular with rugby supporters. This is mostly because they have DSTV and they show the rugby games that are being played in South Africa. I snapped this photo of the bar’s sign when I was driving through Ponta Malongane in Mozambique and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for today (the 24th of November 2013).
Are you going to check out this bar the next time you are in Mozambique or are you giving it a skip? Leave a comment and let me know. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
