The Blyde River Canyon is a significant natural feature of South Africa, located in Mpumalanga province. The canyon forms the Northern part of the Drakensberg escarpment. The canyon is 26 kilometers long and roughly 800 meters deep. It’s definately located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. This photo which features a view of the Blyde River Canyon has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 24th of September 2010.
