Every year Burger Records, from the USA, hosts a worldwide party in cities across the globe under the Burger Revolution banner. Great news is that for the first time ever, this event is coming to Johannesburg, South Africa
The organizers have something very special planned for the Jo’burg chapter, with some of the raddest bands in one of the coolest venues. This year Burger Records celebrates 10 years of tasty tunes after first opening its doors in 2007 in Fullerton, California. The independent record label and store releases a variety of rock and punk titles, from well-known acts to lesser known regional groups. With over 1000 releases, and many uniquely on cassette, the label has garnered a small cult following.
Burger Revolution V (2017) has 47 shows (thus far) across 13 countries on 5 different continents. All happening on Saturday, March 11th. The Johannesburg leg of this celebration of music is happening at Xtreme Bowling in Midways Mall on Corlett Drive in Bramley, Johannesburg. The line-up will consist of Make-Overs (from Pretoria), The Moths, The Bad Ass Execs, Mouse (from Durban) and The Myths (also from Durban). There will also be DJ’s playing good tunes.
Pre-sale tickets are available online via Quicket at http://qkt.io/brgrJHB. Tickets cost R50 online or will cost R80 at the door. Take note that right of admission is reserved. For more info, check out the Event page on Facebook.
