Great News! SA Music lovers in Pretoria are in for a treat this weekend. This week Saturday (the 31st of August 2013) Lentelawaai will be held at the Laerskool Pretoria Oos sports grounds (on the corner of Lynnwood Road and Roper Street) and it promises to be a fun day in the sun in the capital city.
This year’s line-up is pretty schweet and the ideal for celebrating the arrival of Spring in South Africa. The line-up will consist of a solo set by Loki Rothman (a brilliant muso who is also Jack Parow’s guitarist), Pretoria based Afrikaans Hard Punk Grunge Rock band Lesse op Vrydae, Naas Veld (who has been making waves in the scene for quiet some time), Die Tuindwergies (who released their second studio album last year and have been entertaining audiences all around South Africa for most of 2013), Pretoria rockers December Streets (who won the 2010 KFC Sessions and have played at almost every single major festival in South Africa), Multiple MK Award Bellville rockers Van Coke Kartel (who are releasing their 5th studio album since 2007 a month from now) and Jack Parow (the best Afrikaans rapper this side of the equator).
Sounds pretty exciting right? Before you buy your tickets take note that this concert is only open to over 18′s. Tickets to this amazing showcase featuring the best in SA Music cost only R60 via Ticketbreak or R80 at the gate. Also note that gates open at 11 AM, so make sure that you get there early to experience all the stunning music. For more information join the conversation on the Lentelawaai Facebook page.
