With over 400 videos produced and over 1 million views, BalconyTV Johannesburg produces a new show every week – ensuring a steady stream of the latest South African music available anywhere, anytime. In addition to these video streams, BalconyTV Johannesburg has also produced a series of hugely successful live events.
Over the past 4 years, Balcony TV Live has featured over 100 acts in 12 events attended by over 5,000 people. These events have proven especially popular on-line, with close on 100,000 people watching Jeremy Loop’s live performances!
The BalconyTV Live Johannesburg events are brought to you by Hunter’s Gold, with the next event taking place on the 22nd of October. As with all previous BalconyTV Live events, the line-up will continue with the winning formula that pairs up-and-coming acts with top high-profile South African artists.
This edition will see live performances from Joburg’s most beautiful rooftop venue, Randlords. Perfectly perched at the highest point in Braamfontein, Randlords is a beautiful rooftop bar and lounge venue, located on the 22nd floor of South Point Towers. This instalment of BalconyTV Live includes, BCUC, The Black Cat Bones , Hellcats and Johnny Cradle.
BCUC are no strangers to the BalconyTV Live stage, having previously performed to rave reviews. Back by popular demand the group will bring their truly unique improvisational style to a performance that is never the same. The scorching blues-rock sounds of The Black Cat Bones have been perfecting their sound since 2009 and their raw live shows reflect the band at their best.
Hellcats are a two piece, stripped down, bare knuckle rock n roll band formed in 2014 and are a perfect compliment to this rocking line-up. Johnny Cradle simply describe themselves as: a Fender Rhodes, a MOOG, a Xhosa voice, a drum kit, a guitar – make sure to experience them live at Randlords or via the BalconyTV Johannesburg Facebook Page.
Doors Open at 1 PM and live bands start at 1:3o PM. The event ends at 7 PM. Randlords is located at 41 De Korte Street in Braamfontein on the 22nd Floor of the South Point Towers building. Tickets cost R80 via WebTickets.co.za or will set you back R100 at the door.
