Legato Productions proudly presents the “Man in Black” Tribute, a show dedicated to the music of the legendary Johnny Cash, the only person to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. “Man in Black” promises to capture the essence of Johnny Cash’s career spanning over 50 years.
Peter Hoven from “Ses Snare” fame will portray Johnny Cash along with a star-studded band featuring Lienkie Vink as June, Josh Oosthuizen on guitar, Rohan Blignaut on drums and Charles Geer on bass guitar/double bass. The music director for the show is the seasoned Johnny Late whose previous shows include: Music Evolution, Scream, Country Roads and The Bob Dylan Tribute.
“Being an avid Cash fan myself, when I first heard the voice of Peter Hoven, I was absolutely blown away,” said Producer Pieter Marcato, “the musicians are true professionals that deliver a clear, crisp sound and Peter sings the songs with accuracy, conviction and honesty… just an amazing group.”. The Johnny Cash “Man in Black” Tribute Show will be two hours of toe tapping Johnny Cash brilliance and should not be missed.
