2011 has been an up and down year for Running Wolf’s Rant. Google Panda (a new version of the Google algorithm) had a huge effect on this blog. This did not discourage me from blogging over this past year though. There have some good days and there have been some bad days (traffic wise). Interaction has been constant and the bounce rate has remained stable over the last year, and more than 1.5 million pages were read on Running Wolf’s Rant in 2011 (700,000 more than in 2010).
Many things changed in 2011 here:
- If you have realized it by now, Running Wolf’s Rant now has its own Twitter account (@rwrant). Please follow for updates that are only related to the blog (I realize I tweet a lot on my @hennokruger account). You will still be able to get notifications about new posts on my old Twitter account though.
- More than 550 people have become fans of Running Wolf’s Rant on Facebook (up by quite a lot) – for those of you who did not know, the Facebook page is located at https://www.facebook.com/RunningWolfsRant - like it today (if you have not done so already).
- The Daily Cool Photo section was stopped, this required too much time an effort from my part. I have decided to focus on Photo Albums for the Photography category instead. Content will be much more focused that way.
- The Daily Babe section was also discontinued for the time being.
- A record amount of Interviews were also done on Running Wolf’s Rant in 2011, feel free to check them out (if you have not read all of them yet).
- A Photo Albums Page was added in the 2nd half of this year – check it out for links to all the photo albums that have been posted here.
- A Featured SA Bands page was also added during the course of 2011, providing links to posts about SA Bands on Running Wolf’s Rant.
