Prepare to have a geekasm of note. Joss Whedon (the same director who brought the Avengers last year and TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) is back with a new series called Agents of SHIELD.
The series is based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. It will be produced by Marvel Television and will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will also share continuity with the films in that franchise. The series will revolve around the character of Phil Coulson and Clark Gregg will be reprising the role. It’s basically about Agent Phil Coulson putting together a small team of SHIELD agents to handle strange new cases. Agents of SHIELD will also feature appearances by Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.
It’s about time that someone fills the gap in the TV Schedule that Heroes left when it was cancelled. I’m keen to see what happens in this series. I’m thinking that it might just be one of coolest series to be aired in 2013. Agents of SHIELD will be premiering the USA in September 2013 on the ABC Television Network (which is owned by Disney). Check out the series preview below – prepare to be blown away.

True Blood is one of my favorite shows on Television. It’s a real vampire show. None of that pansy ass Twilight or Vampire Diaries crap. No sparkling vampires that can walk in the sunlight and none of the Don Juan De Marco meets Nosferatu crap either. It’s hardcore, with blood and guts, occasional explicit sex scenes and a story line that keeps you guessing and surprises you when you least expect it.
Great News for True Blood fans is that the 6th season is starting on the 16th of June 2013 in the United States. South Africa is not that far behind when it comes to True Blood, so you could probably expect the new season to start on DSTV a week or two after that. I’m curious to see what the focus will be on in the 6th season. This teaser trailer below gives you a 30 second sneak peak of what you can expect.
In case you did not know, True Blood is based on a series of novels (The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlaine Harris. The series was created and is produced by Alan Ball (who directed various episodes of Six Feet Under and wrote and co-produced the 1999 film American Beauty). True Blood features appearances by Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northman), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Chris Bauer, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Lauren Bowles, Nelsan Ellis, Janina Gavankar, Lucy Griffiths, Todd Lowe, Joe Manganiello, Michael McMillian, Carrie Preston and Deborah Ann Woll.

Great news for Fantasy fans! Game of Thrones Season 3 will premiere in the USA on HBO on the 31st of March 2013! No release date has been announced for DSTV in South Africa yet, but I’m prettysure that it won’t be much later than the US release date. South Africa is not that far behind when it comes to TV shows.
Game of Thrones is definitely one of coolest TV shows that has aired over the last few years. The series was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss and is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire (George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels). The first season premiered on HBO in April 2011.
Game of Thrones Season 3 promises to be very exciting. I’m very curious to see what happens in it. I just have a feeling that it’s going to be pretty damn awesome. I am just hoping that little shit Joffrey Baratheon gets his arse kicked, properly. He just irritates the crap out of me in Game of Thrones. Check out “Chaos Preview” below, it’s pretty damn awesome
