City Rays in Seattle

For those of you who did not know, Seattle is located in Washington state in the USA. Over 3.5 million people live in the Seattle metropolitan area (according to Wikipedia). It’s actually the 15th largest city in the country.

Seattle was actually founded in 1869. The area was inhabited by Native Americans for at least 4,000 years before the first permanent white settlers arrived. The city was the center of musical attention during the grunge era of the 1990s. Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Nirvana hail from this metropolis.

Seattle is definitely on my list of cities that I want to visit one day. Jimi Hendrix is buried here (in case you did not know) – I want to go check out his grave. I also want to check out the infamous Space Needle (which apparently is 184 metres high).

The photo taken by Danny Seidman features City Rays in Seattle over the city’s skyline. It has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 10th of September 2012.

Yesterday a photo featuring a Taganga Sunset was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
