In February 2012 I made my way down to Up The Creek 2012 (a festival held near Swellendam in the Western Cape province of South Africa). I saw many excellent acts on the weekend (like Shadowclub, aKING, Taxi Violence, Albert Frost, Machineri, Karen Zoid, the KONGOS and others). The last act on the Saturday night (well very early Sunday morning actually) were Pretoria based Blues Rock band the Black Cat Bones. They started their set at 4 AM on the BOS Ice Tea stage that Sunday morning. This didn’t discourage the “Bittereinders” of the festival to stop partying. Black Cat Bones’ set was a bloody memorable one, no doubt about that. They came onto the stage wearing sponsored cat suits. I snapped this photo of Black Cat Bones bassist Chris Van Der Walt on stage and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 18th of May 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring the Crowd at Van Coke Kartel @ Hatfield Carnival 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates in the Daily Babe and Daily Cool Photo sections. You might also want to check out the posts featuring Movie Trailers, TV Adverts, Funny Clips, Funny Quotes, Funny Pictures and the other bits and pieces on the blog. There’s a lot of posts featuring South Africa here too.
