Close Up Shot of The December Streets @ Up The Creek 2012
The past weekend I made my way down to the Western Cape to attend the Up The Creek Music Festival (near Swellendam). On Thursday night Pretoria based band The December Streets made their way onto the BOS Ice Tea stage to kick off the weekend’s jam-packed musical schedule. I was particularly impressed with their cover version of the Mumford and Sons song Little Lion Man (although it wasn’t the first time that I heard them play it). It seems that these boys only get better at live performances every time I see them play. The December Streets have come a long way since they won the 2010 KFC Sessions Finals in Pretoria. In snapped this close up shot of lead vocalist Tristan Coetzee and Waldo Boshoff (who plays the trumpet in the band) and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 8th of February 2012.
