Facebook has been around for more than 7 years. Over the years it has become part of our daily lives. Facebook jargon like “Inbox Me” or “Add Me on Facebook” has become common in offices, homes, pubs, clubs, movies and television shows and various other aspects of society. This is probably due to the fact that Facebook has more than 1.15 billion active users globally (and more than 9 million active users in South Africa).
You really have to be careful when it comes to posting your status on Facebook. If you are not well informed, it might make you sound like an idiot, so make sure that you Google a few things before you post a stupid question. If you are engaging in illegal activity of some kind, try not to post it on Facebook, it could get you arrested. If you’re mad at your boss, don’t post a status about it (if they are on your friends list), it will get you fired. Common sense needs to prevail. Don’t be THAT guy or THAT girl. You have a brain, use it.
Love it or hate it, Facebook is an integral part of global society and I’m pretty sure that it will continue to grow to be even more influential globally in the coming years (unless some kid in a garage puts them out of business). I was browsing Lamebook (a site dedicated to stupid / funny / interesting things on Facebook) earlier tonight and I found 10 Funny Facebook Statuses that I think will make your Sunday night and put you in a good mood before the week starts tomorrow, have a look below.
Well, there you have it. Which one of these statuses is the funniest, lamest or weirdest? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
