Crowd at Ashtray Electric set @ Tuks FM Motherle$$
On New Year’s Eve 2010 / 2011 I attended the Tuks FM Motherle$$ New Year’s Eve party at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. About 8,000 people gathered to witness Pity the Fool, Frankie Fire, Yesterday’s Pupil, Oorlog Frankenstein, Van Coke Kartel, New Holland, Die Antwoord and Ashtray Electric perform. It was an absolutely brilliant display of South African music. It was also the ultimate way for your’s truly to usher in the New Year. I’ve been thinking and I could probably say something like “Attend gigs where SA musos are playing in Pretoria and you’ll find me there” (almost in an August Rush narration voice) – because its true. I am a huge fan of SA music – Nuff said. I snapped this photo of the crowd in front of the stage during Ashtray Electric’s performance at Motherle$$. This photo has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 13th of January 2011.
Yesterday a photo of the Venice Skyline was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Babes and Photography categories on Running Wolf’s Rant.
