Crowd at Chris Chameleon Show @ Pretoria Botanical Gardens

Today I made my way to the National Botanical Gardens in Pretoria to catch Machineri and Chris Chameleon in concert. The vibe was extremely mellowed out. Both me and @BaasDeBeer were sporting some nasty hangovers from the previous night’s gig at Arcade Empire. This show (combined with a 2 litre bottle of the “Green Ambulance”) was the ultimate hangover cure for both of us. Machineri were up first with their chilled out modern blues sound. Then it was the turn of Chris Chameleon (who has been making waves in the SA Music industry since the late 1990s). It was the first time since Oppikoppi 2007 The Way of the Dassie that I saw him perform. His quirky comments on stage inbetween songs had the Pretoria crowd smiling. I snapped this photo of the crowd at the show during the Chris Chameleon set today and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 3rd of July 2011.
