This past weekend I attended Hatfield Carnival in Pretoria. The event was part of the 2012 Campus Invasion Tour. About 30,000 people made their way into the Hatfield area on Saturday to ring in the 2012 party season. At 7 PM it was time for the KONGOS to play the last show on their almost 3 month South African tour. A huge crowd (of at least 5,000 people) gathered at the main stage at Hatfield Carnival (near the corner of Burnett and Festival Streets) before their show. I snapped this photo of crowd waiting for the KONGOS and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 15th of February 2012.
