Crowd at Loftus Versfeld at 2010 FIFA World Cup match
Yesterday I had the privilege to attend the 2nd round match between Japan and Paraguay at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria. Unfortunately no goals were scored in the first 90 minutes and no goals were scored in the last 30 minutes of extra time either. The two teams seemed to be evenly matched. At least I got to see my first penalty shootout ever in a football match. This was my 2nd taste of the 2010 FIFA World Cup fever currently experienced by the majority of South Africans. I snapped this photo of the crowd on the Eastern pavilion at Loftus Versfeld sometime during the 2nd half. This photo has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for today.
