Crowd at the MK River Stage @ Up the Creek 2012
On the first weekend in February I made my way to Up The Creek 2012 (near Swellendam in the Western Cape). On the Saturday morning at the festival, the 2,000+ festival goers were encouraged to make their way down to the Breede River with “Anything that Can Float”. There was a guy with a little boat for 2 people which had “Just Married” painted on the back of the boat, 4 guys floating around a tube with a cooler in the middle with shade netting over it, a float (which apparently had 24 people on it at one time) and tons of other conventional floating devices in the river. Up the Creek has become renowned over the years for it’s River Stage and this year certainly did not disappoint. A few bands played memorable sets as people were floating and drinking beer in the river – an excellent way to spent a Saturday. I snapped this photo of the crowd at the MK River stage at Up The Creek 2012 and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 27th of February 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring the Renault Twingo RS was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
