Crowd at Die Antwoord set at Tuks FM Motherle$$
On New Year’s Eve 2010 / 2011 I attended the Tuks FM Motherle$$ New Year’s Eve party at the Voortrekker Monument. Die Antwoord were the headline act for the evening. They came onto the main stage in front of 8,000 people as the 2nd last act of the evening (before Haezer ripped up the decks into the early hours of the morning). Before them the crowd were entertained by the likes of Van Coke Kartel, Ashtray Electric, New Holland, Yesterday’s Pupil, Oorlog Frankenstein, Pity the Fool, Frankie Fire and others. In recent times Die Antwoord won the SAMA for International Breakthrough act over the weekend and they’ve also been confirmed for Oppikoppi 2011 Unknown Brother. I snapped this photo of the crowd during Die Antwoord’s performance at Tuks FM Motherle$$ and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 25th of May 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring the Crowd at Mokha Rock Lounge during aKING set was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for updates in the Daily Babe and Daily Cool Photo sections on this blog. A large chunk of the posts on the blog feature South African bits and pieces, so feel free to check them out. There’s TV Adverts, Songs, Funny Clips, Movie Trailers, Funny Pictures, Photo Albums, etc. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here, so feel free to comment on anything that you might find interesting.
