On Friday night @BaasDeBeer and I made our way to Atterbury Theatre to catch the Pretoria leg of the 2012 Vanfokkingtasties Album Launch tour. The 2nd act on the evening were Afrikaans musical maestros, Die Heuwels Fantasties. They played an excellent set which turned out to be quite a pace setter for the 2 remaining acts on the evening (aKING and Fokofpolisiekar). The band were joined by numerous of their tjommies on stage (including Francois van Coke and Laudo Liebenberg). If you haven’t picked up your copy of the acoustic Vanfokkingtasties album yet, you should, it’s brilliant. I snapped this photo of Die Heuwels Fantasties performing at Atterbury Theatre on Friday and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 7th of May 2012.
