Die Heuwels Fantasties on stage @ Hatfield Carnival 2012
On the 11th of February I made my to Hatfield Carnival in Pretoria to catch some awesome bands playing. After watching KONGOS and Bittereinder tear the Pretoria crowd a new one with some awesome sets it was the turn of Afrikaans sensation Die Heuwels Fantasties. This Western Cape band has been making waves in the SA Music industry since late 2008. Their second album Wilder as Die Wildtuin went Gold in South Africa last year. They were also Cultural Ambassadors for South Africa during the 2011 IRB Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Die Heuwels Fantasties played an excellent show at Hatfield Carnival this year. It was such a pleasure seeing them perform and a joy photographing them. The Pretoria crowd were singing along to almost every song they played. The atmosphere was amazing. I snapped this photo of the band performing on stage and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 23rd of February 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Taxi Violence on stage @ Up the Creek 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
