Die Tuindwergies on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert
On the 16th of June (Youth Day in South Africa) I made my way to Centurion Rugby Club (which is located right next to Supersport Park in Centurion) for the Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert. One of the bands performing on the day were 2011 MK Award Winners (for best newcomer), Die Tuindwergies. Their blend of Afrikaans folk rock has been making love to my ear drums since I first heard them perform in 2010 at Oppikoppi. They are definitely one of my favorite acts to watch live. Die Tuindwergies always have the ability to get the crowds at their gigs to sing along to their songs (especially their hit song Kopskudkinders). I snapped this photo of them performing on the day and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 20th of June 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring The December Streets on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Daily Babes section and this section. There’s a lot of content here that’s tagged “South Africa” and “SA Music”, so feel free to check it out.
