Don’t miss the Joburg Festival of Beer

Do you love beer and are you looking for something to do this coming weekend? Well, the Joburg Festival of Beer is coming to Pirates Sports Club in Greenside. It’s happening from the 6th to the 8th of September 2013 and it promises to be one of the highlights on the Jozi social calendar. Beer lovers have the perfect opportunity to compare and taste over 150 beers from brewers across South Africa and the globe.

The Cape Town Festival of Beer (which is currently the biggest festival of beer in Africa) has been such a huge success that the organizers have decided to create a Johannesburg leg for this event. There’s currently a huge interest brewing for craft beer in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Joburg Festival of Beer is the perfect opportunity for Joburg brewers to exhibit their delicious beers and for Cape Town brewers to introduce their tasty brews to the Jozi market.

The Joburg Festival of Beer will transform Pirates Sports Club into a 2300 square meter showcase for all things beer. There will be stands featuring local and international brewers, home brewers, craft and mega brewers, beer tours, brewing demonstrations, beer pairings and lots more. In true Festival of Beer style visitors will be able to enjoy free sample for ALL beers at the show. Visitors can also look forward to a Beer Pong tournament (which will be running over the whole weekend at the festival). If you think you have what it takes, make sure that you enter your Beer Pong team now on the Joburg Festival of Beer Facebook page. You could win some cool prizes!
