Ekhouvanjou,ok! on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert
On Thursday I made my way to Centurion Rugby Klub (right next to Supersport Park in Centurion) to attend the Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert. We only arrived at the venue at 2 PM (all nursing hangovers enduced by a hectic party at Arcade Empire on the Wednesday). We missed the performance by The Friendly Lemons. The first act we caught was Ekhouvanjou,ok! (an Afrikaans supergroup from Potchefstroom). The band consists of Louis “Raptor” Janse van Rensburg, Arno “Autotune” de Beer, Rouxan Cloete and Ruan Kruger, the latter who is also a drummer for well known Afrikaans rockers Straatligkinders. The December Streets, Die Tuindwergies and Bittereinder also performed at Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks”. I snapped this photo of Ekhouvanjou,ok! on stage and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 18th of June 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring Bittereinder on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Daily Babes section and this section. There’s a lot of content here that’s tagged “South Africa” and “SA Music”, so feel free to check it out.
