On the 1st of September 2012 I made my way to Lente Lawaai at Harlequins Rugby Club in Pretoria. Die Tuindwergies, Moses Metroman, Naas Veld, Tidal Waves, Zinkplaat, Fokofpolisiekar were on the line-up list for a day of awesome music.
Fokofpolisiekar were the last act to perform at Lente Lawaai. The crowd got so rowdy that the security had to remove the barrier keeping the crowd away from the stage. Fokofpolisiekar played one of the best shows I’ve seen them play this year.
Lente Lawaai was a lot of fun and definitely something that could become a yearly institution in the capital city. Harlequins Rugby Club is a nice venue for a live music show. 5,000 people can easily fit onto one of the rugby fields there if you ask me.
I snapped this photo of Francois Van Coke (from Fokofpolisiekar) on stage at Lente Lawaai this year and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 22nd of September 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring a Beer Tree at Oppikoppi Sweet Thing 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
