Gareth Wilson and Albert Frost on stage @ Oppikoppi 2012 Sweet Thing

On Thursday night I was on the farm near Northam for my 14th Oppikoppi festival. Oppikoppi 2012 Sweet Thing really started gaining momentum when it was time for the Southern Gypsey Queen 10 year tribute show.

Southern Gypsey Queen celebrated 10 years in the SA Music industry by collaborating with some of the best artists in the industry. Shotgun Tori, Shadowclub, the Black Cat Bones, Jacob and Jaco Mans from Tidal Waves, the lead vocalist and guitarist of Chromium, someone from Boo!, someone from Fuzigish and others were part of the entourage of artists joining Southern Gypsey Queen on the brand new stage at Wesley’s Dome (which turned out to be my favourite stage at Oppikoppi 2012 Sweet Thing). Gareth Wilson, Tammy Wilson and Paul Wilson are definitely three of true rockers left in the SA Music scene.

I snapped this photo of Gareth Wilson and Albert frost performing during the Southern Gypsey Queen 10 year tribute set at Oppikoppi 2012 Sweet Thing and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 12th of August 2012.

Yesterday a photo featuring Black Cat Bones on stage @ Oppikoppi 2012 Sweet Thing was the Daily Cool Photo on this blog, feel free to check it out.
