The Carlton Center is a skyscraper & shopping center in the CBD of Johannesburg (the largest city in Sub-Saharan Africa and the most-treed city in the world). The building is also the highest building on the African continent. I’ve been playing around on Google Street View and Google Maps for the last few weeks and finding all kinds of South African landmarks. This is another one of them. The Carlton Center was completed in 1973, has 50 floors and is 223 meters high. At the time it was completed the Carlton Center was completed it was the highest building in the Southern Hemisphere. I found the Carlton Center at this location on Google Maps.
