Google Street View: SA Parliament Buildings
Construction on the South African parliament buildings were completed in 1885. The buildings can be viewed on Google Maps if you search for ‘153 Plein Street, Cape Town’. This is the street view picture that you will see. Thanks to the Google Street View feature (which was introduced for South Africa just before the 2010 FIFA World Cup) you can now explore this area at street level. I previously featured the Union Buildings in Pretoria in this section of Running Wolf’s Rant. I will be highlighting other interesting locations on Google Maps in the future on the blog, so watch this space.
