GarethEdwards Great Tries: Gareth Edwards (1973)In 1973 the Barbarians played against New Zealand at Cardiff Arms Park in Wales. On the day Welsh halfback Gareth Edwards scored what many call “The Greatest Try of All time” or refer to as “That Try”. Almost every member of the Barbarians team handled the ball in a movement that started on their own goal line. This try is definately worth mentioning in the Sport category of Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for regular updates in the Rugby section and more great tries in the future.

This is a video clip of the try:

looked a bit forward to me – that last pass, but a well timed run in the end.
