On New Year’s Eve 2010 / 2011 I attended the Tuks FM Motherle$$ New Year’s Eve party which was staged at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. The line-up included Oorlog Frankenstein, Pity the Fool, New Holland, Frankie Fire, Van Coke Kartel, Ashtray Electric, Die Antwoord, Yesterday’s Pupil and Heazer. Haezer is from Cape Town. He has been producing his signature trash/electro sound since late 2008. Haezer began his live career at The Assembly in Cape Town (opening for visiting internationals such as Steve Aoki, Gtronic and Djedjotronic). Soon after he teamed up with Cyberpunkers and Saint Pauli to collaborate on his debut single Who The Fuck is Haezer. Later on he went on a tour of SA with the Cyberpunkers. In July 2010 Haezer toured Australia with Gtronic (Dim Mak) as part of the promotional “We Love Noize” tour for Tuff Em Up! Records (who are also behind the legendary Trashbags parties). HAEZER headlined alongside Gtronic across the country playing 6 major cities. Haezer started his set a Tuks FM Motherle$$ after Die Antwoord got the 8000+ strong crowd going in the rain. The rain stopped just before Haezer started his set. I caught a bit of this set inbetween making trips to bar for my first drinks of 2011. I snapped this photo of Haezer on stage at about 1 AM on the 1st of January 2011. This photo has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 8th of January 2011.
