Hartebeespoort Dam Scene

Many Gautengers are familiar with Hartebeespoort dam, located about 35 km from Pretoria. Hartbeespoort Dam was constructed between 1921 and 1923. The dam is primarily used for irrigation, Pretoria does not get its drinking water from here. In recent years, Hartebeespoort (formerly known as Schoemansville) has been the subject of huge development and expansion. It’s one of the coolest towns to live in (in my opinion). I was on the dam today, on a cruise. I snapped this photo on the dam today and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 28th of November 2010.

Yesterday a photo of Another South African Sunset was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Photography and Babes categories on this blog.
