Hot Water on Stage @ Up the Creek 2012
The South African Newspaper The Citizen has said this about Hot Water “must easily be one of the most exciting musical projects to come out of South Africa…” I tend to agree with this statement. Hot Water made their way onto the stage at Up The Creek 2012 after KONGOS and Karen Zoid. Hot Water are a South African Folk-Rock-Township-Jive-Blues band from Cape Town. Donovan Copley, Guru Swartz, Deputy General Maputo, Mama Sizwe (aka Soubry Makupula), Officer Visser (aka Leon Visser) and Ronan Skillen are the members of the band. I was thoroughly knocked off my feet by their excellent performance. I want to kick myself for missing Hot Water’s set at Oppikoppi last year (yes, that’s how good they were). I snapped this photo of Hot Water’s frontman (Donovan) on stage at Up The Creek 2012 and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 6th of March 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring KONGOS on stage @ Up The Creek 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
