Introducing the UTE-Force Initiative

So you’re reading this blog post’s title and you’re asking yourself “What is the UTE-Force Initiative?”. Well, the UTE-Force is made up of South Africa’s most varied and skilled experts, from carpenters and plumbers to electricians and industrial designers. These talented and dedicated individuals are all ready and waiting to tackle the challenges ahead of them.

With a fleet of legendary all new Chevrolet Utilities at their disposal, this exceptional team will travel around South Africa for a year completing extraordinary missions for communities who need it most. You can follow the UTE-Force on Facebook and Twitter so you don’t miss out on any of the action or volunteer now to receive updates on all the missions the UTE force does.

The UTE-Force team have done two awesome projects already and the third one is coming up next week. Project Lulama is an initiative to help improve the conditions at an underprivileged primary school in Kliptown (South West of Johannesburg). They will be re-painting the classrooms at Lulama primary school and installing a Food Garden, as well as a few other things. The UTE-Force will be going through on Tuesday next week to take some pics and get their hands dirty. A film crew will also be on standby to document the day’s proceedings.

This TV Advert for Chevrolet for the all-new Chevrolet Utility demonstrates the company’s dedication to having an effect on people’s lives. A brand new Cricket field for Cowan High School was built and shot over 6 days in New Brighton township in Port Elizabeth, South Africa (one of the UTE-Force’s projects).

This is a bloody awesome initiative if you ask me. The UTE-Force initiative is something aimed to improve the lives of South Africans – and I’ll for that. It’s great to see a company like Chevrolet getting involved in an initiative like this. Check out the official UTE-Force Website for more information about this.
