KONGOS on stage @ Up The Creek 2012
On the weekend of 3-5 February I was at Up the Creek (a festival near Swellendam in the Western Cape). On the Saturday night KONGOS made their way onto the stage after South African rock legend Karen Zoid. It was the 3rd show on their tour that I had to privilege of enjoying. This American band (which has South African roots) rocked the Western Cape crowd to the max. One of the highlights of their set was John Kongos (the 4 brothers Kongos’ dad) joining them on stage. They played his hit song from the 1970s, “Tokoloshe Man”, with a lot of passion. I snapped this photo of KONGOS performing with their dad on stage at Up the Creek 2012 and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 5th of March 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Karen Zoid on stage @ Up the Creek 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
