Yes Folks! Krazee 4 Kripples are bringing you another event! This year’s edition is entitled Musos 4 Muscles and will take place at the Wolmer Bush Lounge in Pretoria on the 10th of November (next week Saturday).
In case you did not know, Krazee 4 Kripples is the brainchild of Leanne Opperman (@LeaVille on Twitter). This annual event aims to create awareness of Muscular Dystrophy. Proceeds and donations go to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of South Africa, Gauteng branch. This organization helps patients to buy equipment (like wheelchairs and walking sticks) and helps to improve their mobility in their daily lives.
Up to 2011 Krazee 4 Kripples showcased an extreme sport (skydiving, hang gliding and drifting) with rock bands playing for the crowds to round off the day. This year Krazee 4 Kripples pays homage to bands that have shown their support for this cause with Musos 4 Muscles. They’re also welcoming some new bands that have come on board to show their support to create awareness for Muscular Dystrophy.
So, get your butt down to Wolmer Bush Lounge next weekend to show your support! The line-up is pretty awesome if you ask me: Shevon Delport, Sunset West, Blankrupt, Steelkant, Sun of the Gun, The Dying Breed, Howlin’ Shibanksi, Hoot & Annie, Sun of the Gun, Aidan Martin Band, The Black Cat Bones, The Smoking Mojos, Juggernaught and Slightly Funked.
I’ll admit that I’m not familiar with some of these acts, but I’m definitely intrigued and I’m definitely in the mood to discover some new SA Music. Your giving heart and inquisitive mind is probably already telling you to check out Musos 4 Muscles at Wolmer Bush Lounge in Pretoria next weekend. The best part of it all is that will only set you back R60 to enjoy this show (which starts at 11 AM on the day already). See You There on next week Saturday folks!
