Lightning Flashes as Volcano Erupts in Chile in 2011
I’m one of those people who truly appreciates excellent photography. In June 2011 a volcano in the Puyehue-Cordon Caulle chain of mountains in Chile erupted. Lightning flashes could be seen above the ash plume. The volcano had been dormant for decades and belched ash over 6 miles (10 km) into the sky, as winds fanned it toward neighboring Argentina, and prompted the government to evacuate several thousand residents. This photo of the eruption, the ash and lightning flashes above was taken by Carlos Gutierrez and has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 1st of April 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Gazelle on stage @ MK Awards 2012 After Party was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. This blog is updated daily in the Babes and Photography categories, so come back for your little dose of awesomeness tomorrow. Feedback is appreciated and welcome.
