London is the capital city of the United Kingdom. I was there in 2004 to visit my brother (who had lived in the North Eastern suburbs of the metropolis at the time). It’s truly one of the most awesome places that I’ve been to. London is a buzzing metropolis of +/- 8 million people. Over 200 languages are spoken in the city. Whilst on my visit there I had the opportunity to take a boat trip on the river Thames. The tour guide was quite useful and very informative (telling us the history of many of the city’s landmarks like St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, etc). This photo was not taken by me, but it depicts the London Skyline just like I remember it and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 20th of July 2011.
