Captain-America-The-First-Avenger-191x300 Movie Trailers: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Good News! There’s another superhero movie on the way! Captain America: The First Avenger is an upcoming 2011 film based on the Marvel Comics character Captain America. After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America (a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals). Chris Evans (who also starred in both Fantastic Four movies) has been cast in the role of Captain America / Steve Rogers. The film will also feature appearances by Tommy Lee Jones (who needs no introduction), Hugo Weaving (of V for Vendetta, Lord of the Rings and The Matrix fame), Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough, Derek Luke, Stanley Tucci (who also needs no introduction), Natalie Dormer, Sebastian Stan and others. Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston (who also directed the 2010 film The Wolfman, the 2004 film Hidalgo, the 2001 film Jurassic Park III, the 1999 film October Sky and the 1995 film Jumanji). The screenplay for the film was written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Captain America: The First Avenger is set for release in July 2011 in the United States. It’s bound to be one of the top films of 2011. I must admit that I expected a little bit more from the trailer for the film though, but who knows, this movie might just be great.
